Manly topple Titans
The Manly Sea Eagles have consolidated their position at the top of the table with a comprehensive 34-14 victory over the Gold Coast Titans at Skilled Stadium on Friday night.
Despite the final scoreline, and the fact they were without Scott Prince, Luke Bailey and Ashley Harrison, the Titans produced a gallant performance and actually lead 14-12 with less than 25 minutes to go on the clock.
However, a late flurry of tries - including one of the tries the season to fullback Brett Stewart on fulltime - saw the Sea Eagles run away with the win.
For the Gold Coast hooker Nathan Friend was tireless in defence, while Manly forwards Josh Perry and Glenn Stewart were physical up front.

Dragons continue streak against Knights
The St. George Illawarra Dragons have registered their seventh consecutive victory thanks to a 24-16 win over the Newcastle Knights at Energy Australia Stadium.
The Dragons dominated possession and field position during the opening half and racked up two tries to Chase Stanley and Brett Morris to lead 14-0 at the interval.
St. George Illawarra halfback Jamie Soward posted the first points of the second stanza with a try in the 45th minute, before front rower Jason Ryles barged over from close range to give his team an 24-0 lead.
However, the Knights began a comeback of sorts thanks to the efforts of explosive centre Junior Sau who crossed for a double. Kurt Gidley managed a consolation try on the stroke of fulltime but it was all in vain, as the Dragons ran out convincing winners in the end.
After playing Origin on Wednesday night, Gidley was courageous in defeat. For the Dragons, props Jason Ryles and Justin Poore provided the go-forward that set up the victory, while the Morris twins looked dangerous with the ball in hand.

Storm backline dominates Raiders
The Storm have continued their push for a second consecutive NRL title with a fairly convincing 30-14 defeat of the Canberra Raiders at Olympic Park on Sunday afternoon.
Undoubtably, the highlight of the match was the performance of Greg Inglis, who tormented the Canberra defence throughout the game.
