Storm triumph in nailbiter
The Melbourne Storm have defeated the Manly Sea Eagles 18-10 in the top of the table clash at Brookvale Oval.
Melbourne's defence held strong during the final stages, repelling the Manly attack for five consecutive sets of six.
Despite the scoreline, it could be argued that the Sea Eagles were the better team but moments of brilliance from Billy Slater and Cooper Cronk proved the difference in the end. Cronk barged over for a four-pointer of his own and also had a hand in the tries to Geyer and Folau.
Both teams are now level at the top of the ladder with 32 points.
