NRL Live Predictions - Round 5

Storm ($1.36) v Sea Eagles ($3.00)
The Grand Final rematch will no doubt prove to be a very fiery encounter. Melbourne have created rugby league headlines with their advertising campaign labelling the Sea Eagles as Wo-Manly (and after their performance in the 2007 decider who could argue?). I think Melbourne will win this game and the battle between fullbacks (Billy Slater vs Brett Stewart) should be especially intriguing.
Eels ($1.33) v Titans ($3.15)
The Titans have been dealt a massive blow, with inspirational prop Luke Bailey ruled out for a number of weeks with a broken arm. Without Bailey the TItans' forwards look weak and they will be easy pickings for the Paramatta pack. The Eels themselves will be desperate for the two points after their loss to the Cowboys last week and i can see them winning fairly comfortably.
Dragons ($1.70) v Cowboys ($2.10)
The Dragons have been terribly inconsistant so far this season and I can't tip them with any confidence at all. They have the home ground advantage but I don't think it will be enough for them to topple the Cowboys, who bounced back into form last weekend.
Panthers ($2.10) v Roosters ($1.70)
There might be an upset in this match. I think the Roosters might struggle after the emotional high following their thrashing of the Bulldogs last round. On the other hand, the Panthers will be feeling confident after their win over the Tigers, and I can see them being fired up for this game as well. Panthers to win.
Warriors ($1.55) v Bulldogs ($2.35)
Sunday footy sees the NZ Warriors taking on the Canterbury Bulldogs in the land of the long white cloud. I didn't see the Kiwi's win over the Knights but from all reports they played pretty well. They're always very tricky to beat at home and I think the Bulldogs will feel the full force of the Warriors' attack. NZ to grab the 2 points.
Radiers ($1.65) v Tigers ($2.20)
I don't really know what to expect from either side, as both teams' form has been up and down within the opening month. The Tigers have shuffled a number of players in key positions and this may prove to be detremental to their cohesion. I'm going to back Canberra in this game based on thier home ground advantage.
Knights ($1.70) v Broncos ($2.10)
The Broncos lost their first match of the season to the Storm last weekend. However, they weren't embarrassed and they will be strengthened for this match thanks to the inclusion of Justin Hodges in the centres. The Knights have lost key playmaker Jarrod Mullen for the clash and I can't see them beating the Broncos here, although it will be close.
Rabbitohs ($2.35) v Sharks ($1.55)
Monday night footy sees a clash between two very defensively orientated teams . The Bunnies have yet to taste victory in 2008 and, although it may be a tight encounter, I can't see them breaking their drought against the Sharks.
Believe it or not, I actually managed to tip a few winners last weekend! I scored 6/8 taking my overall season tally to 16/32 (50%).

I am actually changing to the Broncos now that I know that Buderus (cork), Mullen (leg) and Dureau (ribs) are under an injury cloud!!
Cheers,

P.S. - I just think Souths are due!
