Category: Weekly Tips
Sydney Roosters v ($2.00) v Canterbury Bulldogs ($1.80)
I think the Bulldogs will bounce back with a win after their loss to the Raiders last week. The Roosters have too many players sidelined to be a chance in this one. Bulldogs in a tight one.
Penrith Panthers ($1.33) v Brisbane Broncos ($3.15)
As a stuanch Brisbane supporter, my heart says Broncos but unfotunately my head says Penrith. The Panthers should have too much in attack for a very understrength opposition.
Gold Coast Titans ($2.15) v St. George Illawarra Dragsons ($1.67)
The Titans have been in poor form recently and will miss the likes of Prince, Laffranchi (Origin duties) and Luke Bailey who has been sidelined for the rest of the year with a knee injury. Dragons to win.
Manly Sea Eagles ($1.18) v Newcastle Knights ($4.50)
The Sea Eagles are heavy favourites in this one and I think they'll be too strong at home for the Knights. Manly by plenty.
North Queensland Cowboys ($2.35) v South Sydney Rabbitohs ($1.55)
This clash is the battle of the wooden spoon. The Cowboys have slumped into last place after some very disappointing losses, while the Bunnies are second last but have shown plenty of imrprovement over the last two weeks. I think Souths will improve further and beat the Cowboys up in Townsville.
Wests Tigers ($1.13) v New Zealand Warriors ($5.50)
The Tigers are at thier best on a dry Sunday afternoon and they should have too much spark in attack for a Warriors team containing the everlasting Ruben Wiki, who records his 300th NRL appearance in this clash.
Parrmatta Eels ($1.07) v Melbourne Storm ($8.00)
Melbourne once again have a host of stars missing due to Origin committments and I think the Eels attack will punch prently of holes in the Storm defence. Eels by 20 points or more.
Canberra Radiers ($1.50) v Cronulla Sharks ($2.50)
The Raiders have been the surprise packet of the competition over the past two weeks and I can see them continuing in a similiar vain on Monday night. The Sharks are without forward enforcers Brid and Gallen and face a tough task away from home. Raiders to grab the two points.
I picked 5/8 last weekend (63%) and my overall tally for the season stands at 62/107 (58%).
Happy tipping this week!
