NRL Form Guide - Round 3

After 3 rounds, the Brisbane Broncos remain the only undefeated team in the competition. They have looked impressive in their victories over the Panthers, Roosters and Cowboys, with new signings Peter Wallace and PJ Marsh providing plenty of creativity in attack. However, it must be said that two wins have come against ordinary opposition (Penrith and NQ) and Brisbane will face the ultimate test against the Storm at Olympic Park this weekend.
The Storm blew the Warriors off the park in round one but have since lacked enthusiasm. However they will, without doubt, lift for their Friday night contest with the Broncos. There is an element of bad blood between the two teams and it should make for a fiery encounter.
Both the North Queensland Cowboys and the South Sydney Rabbitohs have failed to register a win in 2008. North Queensland’s defensive woes of last season have continued, with the side conceding a staggering 102 points in the first 3 rounds. They have also struggled in attack, only averaging 10 points a match. Their poor form may come down to a lack of motivation under departing coach Graham Murray but, regardless of the reason, they’ll have to get their act together against the Parramatta Eels on Saturday night.
The Rabbitohs have also failed to notch a victory so far this year. They have looked unorganised and with 3 different halves combinations in 3 weeks, it’s not hard to understand why. The injury to star signing Craig Wing was a massive blow but the Bunnies will have to move on and find some continuity in attack to be any chance in 2008.
