Match Summary:
Queensland have claimed their third successive State of Origin shield with a 16-10 win over New South Wales at ANZ Stadium.
The victory was sealed for the Maroons on the back of a piece of individual brilliance in the 68th minute. With the game locked at 10-all, five-eighth Johnathan Thurston produced a trademark dummy and step to slice through some weary Blues' defence. He then found speedster Billy Slater in support, who crossed under the posts for what turned out to be the match winning four-pointer.
New South Wales managed their sole try to centre Matt Cooper during the first half but, in a disorganised attacking display, struggled to crack the tenacious Queensland defence.

“It was a tough game, I think it's probably up there with one of Queensland's best wins, it was our toughest win by far.
“It's always good winning 30 blot, but to tough it out down here is even better.''
