Menzies to leave NRL at season's end

Manly Sea Eagles' stalwart Steven Menzies has today announced that he will join English Super League club Bradford on a one year deal commencing in 2009.
The 34-year old will leave the National Rugby League at the end of his 16th season in first grade as the games premier try scoring forward.
After debuting against the Broncos in 1993, Menzies has gone on to accumulate an astonishing 171 four-pointers to be second on the all time try scoring list behind the great Ken Irvine.
He has also registered the second highest number of first grade appearances, with 338 games for the Manly Sea Eagles and now defunct Northern Eagles.
Menzies represented New South Wales on 20 occasions and Australia 15 times, confirming his status as one of the legends of contemporary rugby league.
