St. Helens and Leeds Rhinos have been rewarded for their strong Super League seasons, with the two grand final teams contributing a total of fifteen players to the 24-man English World Cup squad.
Leeds Rhinos' veteran prop Jamie Peacock (pictured on the left alongside Gareth Ellis) will captain the side and, according to the man himself, he's mighty passionate about the job at hand.
Somewhat controversially, Wigan prop forward Stuart Fielden has been left out despite being a mainstay in the Pommy pack over the past few seasons.
England arrive in Australia on the 13th of October before kicking off their campaign against Papua New Guinea on Saturday the 25th of October in what will be a balmy Townsville.
